This is a very rare example of the reference 6038 by Vacheron&Constantin. It was one of the first automatic wristwatches the brand ever launched in 1955. It is better known as the Jubilé, as it was created to celebrate the 200th birthday of the maison. This is the first example we have ever encountered with the original leather box mentioning the 200th birthday. However there is something else that makes this example stand out. It comes on its original detachable bracelet that fits a wrist circumference up to 18,5cm. The overall condition of the watch is very good. The case has retained all its original lines and the movement was well preserved under the screw back. The raised enamel dial has acquired some patina over time. All our watches are offered in unserviced condition unless mentioned otherwise. We can have the watch serviced on request. If you would like to know more about this rare timepiece, feel free to contact us.
