Looking at a new old stock wristwatch from the 1940’s never gets boring. The 34mm steel case has some beautiful lines here. A flat bezel with a plexiglass that is completely flat to fit the shape. The curved lugs are super sharp and are accentuated with a shiny finish. The case sides have a brushed finish and the watch still bears its original rounded crown type. Inside is an untouched caliber 89 movement. One of the most reliable time only movements ever produced. The dial is spotless and shows nice contrasting rose gold markers. It has the beautiful early cursive IWC logo. There are pyramid markers, arrow markers and an arabic 12 and 6. The watch features central seconds and has a beautiful perlage minute track. The watch comes on its day one pigskin strap with original steel buckle. The case back still bears its original inventory sticker. These time capsules are becoming harder and harder to find.
