Vintage Boucheron diamond set

This mid 1970’s vintage Boucheron is a real work of art. The yellow gold ribbed case is in very nice condition. It has been factory diamond set and this was one of the more unusual pieces from the Boucheron catalogue. The dial continues the pattern of the case and is also diamond set. The hands are also solid gold and in the typical Boucheron shape. On the back we find the boucheron patent numbers and as well as hallmarks. The french eagle hallmark indicates we are dealing with a french made case here. This particular model runs on a quartz movement. Overall condition of the watch is good. Over the last years vintage Boucheron has seriously increased in popularity.

I dare to state that I was among the very first out there to collect vintage Boucheron watches. Still I have a large personal collection of Boucheron watches. They are incredibly interesting watches at their price point. They are almost always entirely made by hand. In addition they feature a unique and instantly recognizable design language and are mostly executed in solid gold. Using movements from different brands, there are always new things to discover with Boucheron. Comparing the brand to for example Cartier, I think it is still undervalued.
