The Omega CK859 is a pretty rare reference, especially with the black sector dial. This Omega CK859 sector dial has a 37,5mm steel case. The condition is very good, where all the original case lines have been nicely preserved. The dial is all original and is one of the best examples I have seen on this reference. There is some spotting visible under direct light, but this is to be expected on a wristwatch from 1937 and in line with how other Omega CK859 watches have aged. The dial layout is typical for the mid to late 1930’s and is known by collectors as a sector dial. The hands are in white lacquer, which is all intact. On most examples the lacquer has chipped or cracked making this example stand out condition wise. The watch comes on a custom made pigskin strap that perfectly matches the robust character of this Omega.
The movement is a caliber 26.5 Sob. It is an incredibly sturdy manual wound caliber. If you check the movement numbers in the pictures, you will be able to determine the year of production yourself here. If you would like to know more about the watch, please get in contact.
Omega recently relaunched a variation of this legendary reference, which you can read about here. I really hope they will reintroduce the black dial version in the future as well.
