This automatic Eterna from the 1950’s, is a rare example of the brand’s offerings in solid rose gold. The quality is breathtaking. Its case has been made by the famous casemaker Eggly et Cie from Geneva. This casemaker is known to have made some of the most impressive cases for Patek Philippe and Vacheron&Constantin among others. This case has a unique shape we have not seen anywhere before, with bold lugs and a sharply stepped bezel, it is complete down to the original cap crown. It has been preserved in unpolished condition and has a large diameter of 36mm. The dial comes in good condition, with some light spotting and a little mark near the center (always ask for additional pictures if you want a complete overview of condition).
Inside is an early bumper movement in exceptional condition. This particular model is pre Eterna-Matic, which is a rotor system with 5 ball bearings. This would later also become the logo of the brand. It comes on a brown lizzard strap, which can be changed in case of export. Delivered in its original brown box. There is not too many gold watches from Eterna around from this period, so this is a rare opportunity.
